Greetings everyone, and welcome to the Local Exchange Officer page! My name is Mustafa, and I’m proud to be a part of the EPSF, especially in this committee!

Diversity, in my mind, is a very important value in not only daily life, but also in the field of science and medicine. There are too many instances in life where a fresh set of eyes and minds could help solve a problem previously thought unsolvable. This is the reason why new Exchange Students are so important in any academic environment, as they can bring new color into it.

However, for the previously mentioned to occur without any hiccups, the environment needs to not only be friendly and inclusive, but also accommodating to the needs of the Exchange Students, both foreign and otherwise. This is what the LEO’s strives to alleviate with best of it’s abilities!

🔹Intro To Local Exchange Officers

• The Local Exchange Officers Committee (Abbreviated as LEO’s hereafter) are the helping hand that focus on making sure that Exchange students (Foreign or otherwise) are well taken care of in not only GU’s Faculty of Pharmacy, but GU in general!
• Some of the help may include telling general knowledge about the university to the Exchange students, helping them in various issues that may occur, and being the bridge between the students of the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Exchange students themselves.
• Naturally, since Foreign Exchange students have a real possibility to join the Faculty of Pharmacy, a good understanding of English is necessary. The LEO’s must be able to gain the trust of Foreign Exchange students, and a massive key to it succeeding is having an clear understanding of what they want or need help with.

⚒️ Responsibilities

• Act as the bridge between the students of GU and Exchange Students.
• Help to solve any would-be problems that Exchange students might face.
• Strive to accomplish an inclusive, friendly, and academic environment for Exchange students.
